"Talk about inspiration Wheelchair bodybuilding! Tell me your excuse for not working out today." -Arnold Schwarzenegger
"When Robert Frost wrote 'The best way out is always through' he must have been thinking of my friend 'Nick Scott', because Nick certainly goes through life and not around it. I was proud to have produced the 20th Anniversary of the dramatic film Rain Man honoring Barry Morrow and Fran and Kim 'Rain Man' Peek in Salt Lake City. Nick was a special guest performer that evening and from the moment he took the stage the audience fell in love with him, they cried, cheered, and cried some more, this was followed by a very long standing ovation. We have asked Nick to be a character in a very special Children's book series, along with other Celebrities which includes Valerie Carter and Mark Slaughter, Nick will bring his magic to Children around the world who need a real super-hero."
Stephen Carnegie CEO of CarnegieEntertainmentTM

"Nick is one of the nearly thousand youth with spinal cord injuries who I have cared for during the past 25 years. Nick is particularly noteworthy because of his energy, ingenuity and resilience that guided him through the trials and tribulations of such a severe event as a spinal cord injury. He became a soft - spoken advocate with a very powerful and clear message articulated in words and by example. He inspires all of those around him, both those with and without special needs, to have the vision to dream and courage to pursue them."
Lawrence C Vogel, MD Professor of Pediatrics, Rush University Assistant Chief of Staff, Medicine Chief of Pediatrics Shriners Hospitals for Children, Chicago

"As the Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Program at Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago, I have known Nick Scott since shortly after he sustained his traumatic spinal cord injury. Nick's charismatic personality has shown through since day one. He has taken a tragic life event and turned it into an opportunity both for himself and for others. I know Nick as a patient, an athlete, a scuba diver, and now as a colleague in our ventures with the world's only Wheelchair Bodybuilding Camp for teenage boys with SCI. Nick has given much of himself to be a leader and mentor for those young men and women with disabilities. Nick inspires, Nick motivates, Nick encourages, Nick listens, Nick cares!!! When I think of the quote by Marshal Ferdinand Foch, 'the most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire'.........I think of Nick Scott!!!"

His determination and good speaking makes anyone that is part of his life motivated and confident. Having a person like you Nick is hard to find, anytime I see you its like it was yesterday!! Being on stage and speaking with you is a blast we just have that chemistry together that rocks the house!! Much love!!!"
Christina Larson Owner of His & Her Fitness

"Nick Scott called us last year to ask if we would mind if he guest pose at our show. Not knowing who he was or what he was about to introduce us to, we accepted. Nick showed us his story via email. The story that he has to tell made a big impact on our lives. But just seeing it on email or video is not enough. Nick is truly contagious, in a positive sense. We had never seen anyone go through so much turmoil but grasp everything good to stay motivated enough to "make" things happen for himself. He has not been "given" anything. Nick has worked hard and achieved everything he has put his heart into. Nick can do anything he wants to. We don't see that Nick has a disability.....he has an ability. Ability to inspire so many others through experience, courage and that unforgettable smile. Nick has encouraged us to change our lives for the better. He is a true friend to anyone's live he touches."
Darlene & Rob Mayo Promoters of the Continental USA

"Everyday people in this world people take for granted the most important things in life. I was guilty of being one of those people. After meeting Nick he opened my eyes to a new reality. To see a person who has been through so much adversity succeed in so many ways is truly inspirational. Nick has taught me the only true handicap is someone with a negative attitude. Nick is a true inspiration and we are honored to have him as a spokesman for our company."
Kevin Borwick Sales Manger of ProTan
"Getting to know Nick has been a true inspiration for me. He has every reason to give up on life, yet he strives and accomplishes more than most people ever will. He works harder than anyone, and his personality is absolutely hilarious. It is a pleasure to know Nick, and a true honor to call him a friend for life. I can see his dream of changing wheelchair bodybuilding develop and evolve right in front of my eyes, and I am happy to be apart of it. I have seen Nick change so many lives, and I can't wait to see him change many more."

"Heroes come in different shapes and sizes, but what they all have in common is a big heart. Nobody I know has a bigger heart than Nick Scott. The other thing all heroes have is an unshakeable desire to reach their goal. In that respect, Nick has risen to the rank of super hero. Not a fictional movie character, but a real live super hero. Somebody we can all believe in."
Barry Morrow Academy Award-winning screenwriter, "Rain Man."

"You know how you can kind of get a feel for somebody before you even meet 'em? Man, there's not a dang thing in this whole world that stops him. I mean, that is like true iron grit, buddy. That is, I don't care what I gotta do, nothing on this planet is gonna stop me. And that's the same approach he takes to the sport, man. I mean, it's unreal. For a kid his age, it's almost unheard of. It's like Alexander the Great or something."
Walker Runnels Chicago, IL
"Nick bless you looking at videos and hit . 83 and I watched the video, my life sucks right now and was thinking of taking my life but after watching you on this video and see what you did to stay alive (shame on me). Thanks for saving me god bless you thanks."
Kathy Midland, MI
"I wouldn't expect you to remember me from this past weekends Sunshine Classic show, but I spoke with you for a moment out in the lobby after your performance. Let me tell you something.at 44 yrs. old, I've been following bodybuilding for over 25 yrs. now and I've never seen such an entertaining performance from any competitor, ever. I've been to local shows, all the way up to the Olympia and everything in between, and I've never seen a competitor have so much fun on stage as you did. I've also never seen any competitor ever get a standing ovation either. I really don't know who had more fun, you or the audience. LOL. I admire and respect you and every other athlete who ever gets on stage who has ever had the misfortune to need to rely on a wheelchair. Your physique and presentation are second to none, and the fact that the use of a wheelchair is needed has not slowed you down any is remarkable in itself. In closing, I just want to say again how much I enjoyed the time that you were on stage. All the best to you in the future and I look forward to seeing that performance again. Take care of yourself."
Steve S. Florida
"Nick's speeches and presentations are an inspiration not just to wheelchair athletes, but to anyone facing down life's many challenges, no matter how big or small."

"This morning I traded emails with Nick Scott. That made me think about how I perceive myself and my abilities. I have never experienced a life changing event like that of Nick Scott. Therefore, I perceive almost every shortcoming I have as one that is seconded by an excuse. As an athlete, I competed heavily in bicycle racing during my younger years. After several years hiatus from the sport, Nick has inspired me to compete this October 2009.
Why is Nick Scott so inspiring me? I can't imagine what devastation really is, but it has lived in Nick Scott, and I can stand witness. Nick Scott has taken his challenges and made new opportunities like one else I know. To overcome, overpower, and surpass even your own expectations is a mark of a true athlete, an individual, and a winner. Everything Nick has done since his accident inspires me.
Nick Scott was introduced to me about one year ago. I have watched Nick perform on stage and he is truly spectacular. Nick makes no excuses (or least none that anyone else would know about), to reach his goals. Nick is a loyal and dedicated athlete and Bodybuilding.com is proud to be in his association.
I am not sure how I could make an accommodation for this outstanding individual to be any different. I have described Nick Scott as someone who has helped others, been an excellent teacher, and has shown so many others how to attain their goals. Thank you Nick for everything you have done for us here at Bodybuilding.com."
Sincerely With Strongest Regards,
L. Gary Davis, CPA Executive Vice-President of Bodybuilding.com
